Representation of the concepts of witchcraft and sorcery in Perm dialectical dictionaries

The article considers the nominating units for the sorcerer, witch doctor on the data of dialectical dictionaries of the Perm region. These characters' names, together with the Common Slavonic ones, represent North Russian mythology. The concepts of sorcerers and witch doctors as carriers of sacred knowledge are common for the Slavic area. In Perm data they are represented by deverbatives: знать - знатка, знаткой, знающий, ведать - ведун, ведунья, ведьмарь и др. Here sorcerers and witch doctors are commonly considered as people possessing verbal magic tricks, which are represented in their Perm dialectical names derived from verbs with the meaning of speech: бормотушка, заговорщица, словесник, чернобайка, шептарь etc. Specific to the North of Russia are the concepts of carina, singulation, represented in the names for a sorcerer, witch doctor: кил, киловяз, килун; икотник.
