Reflection of the suicidal activity in the official statistic

In present paper the problem of reliability of the official statistic of suicides is discussed. In 2016, in comparison with the previous year, the rate of suicides in Belarus has increased by 19% (from 18,3 to 21,5 per 100 of population), despite the decreasing trend of this parameter. Marked growth of suicide rates in Belarus in 2016, which contradict the regional trend, might be related to the absence of common approach to the diagnostic of suicide.
