Reflection of the requirements of the national program “Digital economy of the Russian Federation” in the development strategies of the regions of the Ural federal district

In modern conditions, the transfer of all life processes of society to digital format, the introduction of Industry 4.0 technologies are becoming a trigger for accelerating the social and economic development of the Russian Federation. The effectiveness of the ongoing digital transformations in the country is largely determined by the results of the development of digital economy technologies in individual regions. In 2014, the need to develop strategies for the constituent entities of the Russian Federation was legislated, as a result of which all regions developed relevant documents. In 2017, the state program “Development of Digital Economy Technologies in Russia” was approved, which since 2019 has been transformed into the national program “Digital Economy”. This required updating the socio-economic development strategies developed in the regions. The article analyzes the features of reflecting the requirements of the national program for the development of the country's digital economy in the content of the current strategies of the regions of the Ural Federal District of the Russian Federation. The result of the study is the development of recommendations for taking into account the leading aspects of the digital economy in the structure and content of regional strategies. Measures are also proposed to increase the level of compliance of existing regional development strategies with the main provisions of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation”. In the course of the study, the methods of qualitative analysis of test information, the method of comparison, the method of structural analysis were used. The results of the study contribute to the development of the theory and practice of strategic management of regions in the context of the development and implementation of digital technologies.
