Reflections of the epoch in the Buryat novels (on the example of Ts.-Zh. Zhimbiev’s novel «Current»)

The article analyzes the themes of the novel «Current» of Ts.-Zh. Zhimbiev, one of the most significant Buryat novels of the late 1970s, which combines the historical aspects with the reflection of modernity. The images and events are organically interwoven in the context of the country life. The author reflects both the positive features of the Soviet past and its shortcomings.
