Flake industries of Zabaikalie in the context of Paleolithic cultures of Central and East Asia

The article deals with the flake industry of Upper Paleolithic of Zabaikalie and the problems of its origin with the special reference to materials of East-Asia region as one of the areas with wide-spread flake industries in Upper Paleolithic. Special attention is paid to the development of Korean Palaeolithic where the interconnection of Middle and Upper Paleolithic flake industries isrevealed. On the basis of analytic data on the materials of middle and early stage of Upper Paleolithic in Zabaikalie it is supposed, that flake industry of Upper Paleolithic formed on the base of local Middle Paleolithic, arosed as the result of synthesis of east-asian flake industry, and Levallois-Mousterian tradition, penetrated here from the west.
