Currently, most methods of diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis is based on the detection of the phenomenon of "escape of the enzyme", but data is not always fully reflect the pathological process, therefore, to determine the response of antitripsina buffer systems of blood is the most adequate criterion for the diagnosis of the development of the inflammatory process affecting the tissue of the pancreas, in chronic pancreatitis in small animals. As a result of our experiment, which was carried out for 2 years at the Department of therapy and propaedeutics of the "Don State Agrarian University", was developed by the diagnostic drug of the extract of the duodenum of the pig, containing secretin and cholecystokinin, and by its approbation. So as a result of histological studies of tissues of the pancreas and duodenum, as well as on the basis of the results of biochemical studies of blood of rats it was found that the received diagnostic drug is sterile, non-toxic (histological changes in the tissues are not observed) and does not have cumulative properties (the content of α1-antitrypsin in the blood serum, 0.75 g/l). With the introduction of diagnostic drug works antitripsina buffer system of blood, the effectiveness of which is determined by the change in the concentration of circulating in blood in rats, α1-antitrypsin, the amount of which is reduced to 0.25 g/l. The concentration of α1-antitrypsin in the blood of clinically healthy dogs before pancreatic stimulation diagnostic injection was 2.25 g/l, after stimulation of the pancreas is 1.75 g/l. These changes were short-lived. Therefore, diagnostic drug obtained from the extract of the duodenum of the pig, containing secretin and cholecystokinin, may cause changes in the volume of circulating inhibitors of proteolytic enzymes in serum, blocking the proteolysis of the inflammatory process in the tissues of the pancreas, and can serve as a reliable metabolic adequate method for the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis in dogs.
