Responsibility as psychotherapy factor

In the paper the responsibility problem in psychotherapy is considered. Authors consider a responsibility phenomenon from positions of various psychological schools and directions; interrelationship of responsibility with such categories as freedom and choice. Responsibility is considered as necessary aspect of human experience; its cognitive, emotional and behavioural components are investigated. The significance of the factor of responsibility in psychotherapy irrespective from its model and direction is emphasized; the emphasis is placed on acceptance by the patient of responsibility for patient’s state as an important condition of psychotherapy of neuroses.
