Liability regime of e-commerce platforms as online intermediaries

The article provides a definition of e-commerce platforms and an overview of how they operate. Based on these conclusions, it examines whether e-commerce platforms fall under the present intermediary liability regime as enshrined in the Civil Code of Russian Federation. Furthermore, the article analyzes the approach to e-commerce platforms liability taken by foreign judicial bodies.
