The article also reflects the gender differentiation of the meaning of life expectancy, various possible reasons for this differentiation are proposed - biological, social, philosophical. And further in the course of the study, a correlation analysis was carried out to search for factors affecting life expectancy. The calculation of correlations (taking into account forward and backward time lags) in the regional context for 10 years between life expectancy and various indicators characterizing the level and quality of life, as well as human potential has been performed. As a result, factors were found that can influence life expectancy.
