The Russian case system in the context of teaching Arabic-speaking students: Linguistic and methodological analysis

The study of Russian grammar by Arabic-speaking students is a complex and multifaceted process, as there are signifi cant structural diff erences between Russian and Arabic, especially in syntax and morphology. Th e relevance of the research is determined by the increasing number of Arabic-speaking students entering Russian universities, as well as the growing interest in learning Arabic among Russian- speaking students in the context of globalization and the intensifi cation of intercultural contacts. One of the key diffi culties is mastering the case system of the Russian language. Based on the results of a comparative analysis of the case systems of Russian and Arabic, the article identifi es the similarities and diff erences in the functioning of cases, which helps to identify the reasons for typical errors made by Arabic-speaking students when learning Russian grammar. The study discusses the primary meanings of cases in the Arabic language and their infl uence on the process of mastering the Russian case system, allowing for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of interference. The article also off ers recommendations for selecting the most eff ective methods for teaching Russian cases to Arabic-speaking students, using a comprehensive approach that combines traditional and modern teaching technologies. The results obtained can be used in the practice of teaching Russian as a foreign language and in the development of teaching materials for Arabic-speaking learners.
