Paleotectonic and metallogenic reconstructions of the Japan Sea section of the West-Pacific continent-ocean transitional zone

Бесплатный доступ

The author compiled the paleotectonics and evolutional metallogenic scheme by using the data on Japan Islands’ paleomagnetic and paleobiogeografic reconstructions made by Japanese geologists for the period before 15-20 million years ago. The Japan Sea continent-ocean transitional zone, before the period of the marginal sea formation, had embraced paraplatform blocks, separated by PZ-MZ polycyclic nappe-folded belts. The ore and non-ore mineralization of that zone is located in the NE tectonic belts. These belts represent the rifts that formed in PZ2 and were evolving until MZ3 (J3-K1).
