The paper shows the impact of the 1917 Revolution on ethnopolitical processes in the countries of the South Caucasus. The existing approaches to the definition of the term “ethnopolitical processes” in Russian-language historiography are considered, highlighting the conflictological, primordialist and constructivist approaches. Considerable attention is paid to the influence of political parties and organizations of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan during the 1917 Revolution on the development of the national liberation movement. The dynamics of continuity of the First Republics of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan with modern states through state symbols, political parties and commemorative practices is shown.
