Commemoration of Participants in the Special Military Operation in the National Republics of Siberia and the Far East: A Synthesis of Traditional Culture and State Policy

The article shows the synthesis of state memory policy and traditional culture in the national republics of Siberia and the Russian Far East with regard to participants in the Special Military Operation (SMO). It examines regional commemorative practices that blend official state initiatives with elements of ethnocultural traditions such as Buddhist ceremonies, shamanic rituals, and folk epics. The article demonstrates how the integration of local cultural codes into federal programs contributes to strengthening civic identity and fostering social cohesion. The methodological framework includes the comparative historical method, discourse analysis of legal documents and media sources, and qualitative content analysis of regional practices. The study highlights the importance of traditional cultural mechanisms in contemporary forms of memorialization and their role in patriotic education and the preservation of historical memory.
