The article presents a review of the Stone Age sites in the south-eastern part of the Gulf of Finland coast, their geomorphology and stratigraphy are crucial for the reconstruction of shore-lines displacement (Fig. 1). According to the reviewed data, the maximum of the Lithorina transgression (5500-4800 cal. BC / 6500-6000 BP) did not exceed 10-12 m above the modern sea level (asl). In the late 6 th-5 th mill. BC (Early Neolithic) the sea level was lower than 8 m asl. In the 4 th mill. BC (Middle Neolithic) it got lower than 5 m asl. Now several sites are known situated lower than 2,5 m asl and covered by water sediments with contexts of the Late Neolithic - Early Metal Epoch (the 6 th-3 rd mill. BC).
