Sites of the corded ware and «Post-corded ware» horizons on the Moskva river

In the paper materials from the complex archaeological-geographical investigations in the water-meadow of the Moskva River are presented. A series of dwelling sites and objects were excavated and attributed to the Corded ware culture, Fatyanovo and Abashevo cultures. Radiocarbon dates were obtained, which define more exactly their chronology. The chronological position of the Fatyanovo culture is determined around the mid 3 rd millennium BC. The Abashevo materials fall within the turn of the 3 rd and the 2 nd millennia BC. Pollen and archaeozoological data evidence farming and stock-breeding.
