Panel analysis of the transactions with digital financial assets and electronic money

The paper deals with digital financial assets as a new economic phenomenon, the interest in which is constantly growing along with high risks of circulation and a lack of legal regulation. The authors emphasize that the attention of controlling and regulatory organizations around the world, including the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, is aimed at determining the feasibility of digital transformations in the payment sector in order to fully realize the potential of innovative technologies to ensure national security and maintain a leading position on the world stage. The paper, using panel data methods, highlights factors and presents the result of assessing their impact on the number of transactions carried out by digital financial assets and electronic money, which confirm the special importance of development and expansion of new financial instruments.
