Parliamentary diplomacy as a promising instrument of foreign policy activity

The article concentrates on perspective but not thoroughly researched instrument of Russian foreign policy - parliamentary diplomacy. Considering the analysis of definitions for parliamentary diplomacy concept suggested by domestic scientists and practical experience of the present, the author defines his own term. Using the general systems theory the author concludes that parliamentary diplomacy is a particular type of diplomacy including unique features and instruments, requiring detailed research and study for the purpose of effective application in foreign policy.
