Party purge of the late 1920s - mid 1930s in the Nizhny Novgorod region: to the question of a number of significant outcomes

The article discusses the results of the party purge in the Nizhny Novgorod regional organization of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) in 1929-1930. Quantitative data on those excluded from the party, on appeals against such decisions, and on the social composition of the victims are analyzed. The author makes conclusions about the reasons for the growth of the manageability of the party after this purge.
