Pastoral and Administrative Activities of the Chairman of the Educational Committee, Archpriest Peter Smirnov

The article is devoted to the pastoral and administrative works of the outstanding theologian, famous preacher, teacher, spiritual writer, who devoted his works to the consideration of Holy Scripture and church history, Archpriest Peter Smirnov. Father Peter for a long time was the chairman of the Educational Committee of the Holy Synod, an honorary member of four Theological Academies, and editor of the official printed organ of the Holy Synod, Church Gazette. This article intends to provide a brief overview of this multifaceted activity of Archpriest Peter Smirnov, buried in the Nikolskoye cemetery of the Holy Trinity Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
