The pathogenic flora of seeds of sunflower self-pollinated lines and hybrids cultivated in the central area of the Krasnodar region

The researches were conducted in 2008-2012 in the VNIIMK central experimental station and in Federal State Enterprise «Berezanskoe» of the Korenovsky area of the Krasnodar region. Material for experiment were original and elite seeds of selfpollinated lines VK 678, VK 585, VK 551, VD 541, and also the seeds of the first generation of hybrids Mercury, Hermes, CMS Kubansky 86 and CMS Ku-bansky 93. The structure analysis of pathogenic microbial flora was conducted by the standard method according to National State Standard 12044-93 in the laboratory of immunity and electrophoresis of VNIIMK Department of hybrid sunflower breeding. The specific reaction of hybrids and lines on population of certain types of pathogens is determined. The occurrence of sclerotinia or phomopsis blight was not observed on the original and elite seeds of parental forms and on the seeds of the first generation of sunflower hybrids. The pathogens complex had no considerable impact on seeds sowing qualities in the studied proportion and didn’t cause problems with receiving a high-quality seed material. The differential approach in the system of protective measures for decreasing of pathogen load of a seed material is necessary depending on its genetic characteristic.
