The results of pathohistological and morphometric study of bone thigh bone heads. Femoral head obtained from 42 patients. Age of patients ranged from 39 to 83 years, average age was 72,4 ± 11. Total sample of patients were 12 men (28,6%; - 72,4 ± 8,5) and 30 women (71.4%, average age - 73,6 ± 10,2). Established that the bones are active endosteal resorption. We estimated the volume of trabecular bone, the average thickness of the subchondral bone layer, the average thickness of trabeculae. Determined values of these indices in which realized the risk of fractures of the proximal femur.
