Pathomorphological diagnosis of aspiration pleuropneumonia in the foal

Pathological picture of changes in organs and tissues of the foal who fell in early postnatal period with clinical signs of aspiration pleuropneumonia was studied, the main disease, including the back- ground, its causes, complications resulting from its background, immediate causes of death were identified, differential diagnostics for diseases of infectious etiology were performed. The object of the study was the corpse of a Trakenen breed foal of three days of age. Histological examination of the tissues of the lungs, myocardium, kidneys, lymph nodes, spleen, liver, pancreas, thymus, adrenalglands, thyroid, and brain was carried out, the material was fixed in a 10 % neutral formalin solution, the sections were made on a “Technome MPW-01” microtome, stained with Ehrlich's hematoxylin and eosin, the microscopy was carried out on a Levenhuk 320 microscope. During the autopsy, material was taken for laboratory testing - the pieces of lung, lymph nodes of the chest cavity, spleen, liver, kidneys, the fragment of the duodenum, the infection was excluded...
