The problem of chronic tonsillitis continues to remain in the focus of attention of scientists and practitioners for many decades. Among the quite numerous foci of infection in the body, tonsils take first place both in frequency and in the variety of pathogenic effects that arise, not only in adults, but, which is especially important, in patients. The incidence of chronic tonsillitis is from 4 -6% to 15.8% of the total population, and in the general structure of the incidence - 5-10%.
