It is currently believed that the causes and important stages of the pathogenesis of diseases such as polycystic ovary syndrome, ovarian wasting syndrome and other diseases associated with a decrease in reproductive function are determined by a violation of the development of the girl's gonads in the prenatal period. The easiest way to control the formation of follicles is an ultrasound examination (ultrasound) of the ovaries, which is performed on the seventh to ninth day of the menstrual cycle. At least several follicles should form in one ovary.
