The article suggests the analysis of the concept of patriotic education in modern Russia on the material of the public press, legislative acts, research on pedagogy, psychology, philosophy. And also the description of the research devoted to the analysis of the conceptions about the patriotic picture of the world in schoolchildren of 7-8 and 10-11 grades and students of humanitarian and non-humanitarian profiles of educational institutions of Perm, which includes the use of such projective techniques as a free associative experiment and a drawing test.
