Patriotism as a tool for educating the younger generation

The article discusses the importance of patriotism as a tool for educating young people. The aim of the work is to show the importance of patriotism, how patriotic education was carried out in Soviet times and how patriotism is relevant in our time among the younger generation. The peculiarities of the patriotic direction of the programs being created, the factors that had a negative, destructive effect on the patriotism of citizens are also noted. The relevance of the topic is due to the fact that patriotism is a key aspect in all spheres of society - political, cultural, educational and also acts as a guarantor of ensuring the security of the country, which military - patriotic activities need to be carried out for the effective education of the younger generation of citizens of the Russian Federation today.
