Patriotism as one of the forms of self-identification of a person in Kyrgyzstan

The article outlines the basic theoretical and empirical interpretations of the concept of "patriotism" used in sociological research on a variety of issues. On the one hand, the author emphasizes the ambiguity of this concept in the theoretical interpretations of patriotism. On the other hand, the article shows the "diagnostic" importance of the empirical data of the patriotic mood of the Kyrgyz people: empirical indicators of the assessment of patriotism as a social attitude are presented, basic research approaches to the study of patriotism are systematized.
