Patriotism as the basis of identification trends in the youth environment

Identity is of particular importance for the formation of personality as an awareness of involvement in a particular social community. The aim of the study is determining the place of patriotism in the youth environment, the demand for the practice of reviving a sense of patriotism, determining the main trends associated with patriotic currents in society. The object of the study is a sociocultural assessment by the young generation of the concept of patriotism; the subject of the study is specific problems and tendencies of patriotic moods in the youth environment. The research method is the analysis of sociological scientific literature, as well as the analysis of the sociological survey of respondents of a Moscow university. During the study, a methodological base was studied, which affected the development of certain trends and problems associated with identity based on constructivism and instrumentalism. The article determins the main problems and tendencies of youth associated with patriotic trends in society, and the need for patriotic education in the youth environment.
