Power-lifting as an effective means for developing physical qualities and strengthening students' Health

Over the past years power-lifting has been getting more and more popular among the people. This kind of sports appears to be one of the most effective means of developing physical qualities and strengthening health for those who go in for sports, including students. The experimental training programme worked out by the author is aimed at speeding up the progress of the beginners (particularly the students of the departments where sports are not the majors). The programme turned out to be quite effective for them, and recommendations of the author as regards its implementation are suggested in this article.
