Beekeeping in the economic activity and world outlook of linear Cossacks in the 19th and early 20th centuries

In the article the author considers the economic activity of linear Cossacks and its reflection in their spiritual culture (based on the example of beekeeping), presented in the archival and ethnographic data, scientific publications of the researchers of various periods (Pre-Revolutionary, Soviet, Post-Soviet). The attention has been drawn to the formation of the branch under the influence of climatic conditions that were new to Cossacks; integration of their experience into economic activity of the neighbouring peoples.
