PCR assay of enzymatic genes involved in hydrolysis of carboxylic acid nitriles

Effective selection methods for strains capable of utilizing carboxylic acid nitriles were developed. Detection of genes involved in hydrolysis of nitriles in microorganisms isolated on selective nitrile-containing media was carried out. Those included alpha- and beta-subunits of iron- and cobalt-dependent nitrile hydrases and nitrilases. Рositional relationship of genes of nitrile hydratase was determined.
