The article deals with pedagogical intuition, its place in the structure of pedagogical abilities of a higher school teacher. Different approaches to the problem of intuition in philosophy, psychology and pedagogy are analyzed. The authors show the relation of pedagogical abilities with the basic features of pedagogical activity of the higher school teacher.
