The topic of sports security is poorly understood and requires a more detailed consideration of the issue of security and the elimination of possible internal and external threats in the organization and conduct of major international sports events. In the article, the author notes that for an effective study of this issue, the results of the implementation of measures to prevent and counteract illegal actions during major international sports events, statistics of detected offenses and crimes during the preparation and conduct of these events, the results of regional studies on national security issues in the study of extremist and terrorist threats during mass entertainment sports events of different levels are necessary. .
