The Article is devoted to the study of pedagogical conditions for the development of measurement skills through folk measurements in children of preschool age. Scientific novelty of research consist in identifying the capability of the conditional measures in the development of measuring abilities and skills of children of senior preschool age, which enriches the theoretical and methodological foundations of mathematical development of children of preschool age. Research methods: theoretical, empirical, methods of data processing. The article defines the content of work with children. The results of the control and training stages of the study are characterized.
