The article deals with the specification of the concept “decorative and applied arts”. There are considered the techniques and the artistic tools of the decorative and applied arts. There are revealed the efficient principles and methods of teaching the basis of the decorative and applied arts”. The authors describe the pedagogical potential of the decorative and applied arts in the process of the aesthetic education.
