The key element of the "Crew - Aircraft" biotechnical system is a human operator, whose functioning is associated with the perception of information, its processing, decision-making and the implementation of the required control actions. A person in this system, having the ability to process information, can mainly be considered as a communication channel. This article discusses information processing by the operator-a member of the crew. The components of the "Crew - Aircraft" biotechnical system are analyzed. Attention is paid to the information circuit of the "Crew-Aircraft" interaction. The phases of information processing and their features are described. It is noted that it is important to take into account the features of the stages that make up the human operator's activity when considering the functioning of the Crew-Aircraft system and its impact on flight safety.
