The system of conformity assessment of goods, works and services existing in Russia is facing a qualitatively new stage of its development. The focus of conformity assessment bodies (at least those that are currently members of the national accreditation system) is on the trust of stakeholders in the performance of these bodies. In this sense, the essence of the new stage will be the deployment of a competition between the participants of the national accreditation system for this trust. This circumstance significantly transforms both the goals and the structure of the conformity assessment market.
