Translation of equivalent lexical units from English into Russian in online dictionaries

The article discusses the problems and approaches to the translation of non-equivalent lexical units (BEL) from English into Russian using online dictionaries and translators: Oxford Dictionary, WordReference, Yandex Translate, Google Translate, Reverso and Linguee. The purpose of the study is to identify the effectiveness of these tools in conveying culturally specific realities. The analysis is carried out on the example of a number of English NELU, which are characterized by the absence of a full or partial equivalent in the Russian language.
