Бесплатный доступ

The author of the article argues that the prerequisite of a successful translation lies in comprehension of the communicative situation entailed by the source text (ST). The theoretical basis provided by other scholars allows to consider translation as a cognitive process with the coherent conceptual system being created in translator's head. Texts describing the communicative situations typical of the source culture may serve a good illustration to the fact.
