Translation of the article “Hesychast breviary” by professor archpriest Dumitru Staniloae

This publication is a series of five lectures given by Professor Archpriest Dumitru Stăniloae in September 1974 at the Benedictine Abbey of the Eastern Rite of Chevetogne (Belgium), and published in two parts in the monastic magazine “Irénikon” in 1979. In the article Father D. Stăniloae speaks about the prayer experience of the Orthodox Hesychasts and the key virtues on the path to the reception of the grace of the Holy Spirit and achieving theosis.
