Translation of the article “Revelation through acts, words and images” by professor archpriest Dumitru Staniloae

In this article, the famous Romanian theologian Professor Archpriest Dumitru Stăniloae examines some of the views of Western theologians on the relationship of knowledge, revelation, faith and demythologization of sacred texts. He also expresses an Orthodox view of this theological problem and quotes the statements of the Holy Fathers and modern Orthodox theologians. In conclusion, Father D. Stăniloae speaks about the true meaning of revelation in the context of personalistic theology, which removes the very question of the “demythologization” of Christianity.
