Three-termed nominative similes in S. King's idiostyle

The article analyzes translations of three-termed nominative similes. Numerous linguists (V.N. Fedortsova, E.A. Koshcheeva, L.S. Barkhudarov, etc.) were engaged in the investigation of translation of similes. This work is the identification of techniques of simile translation. The similes were chosen using the sampling method from the five works of S. King, the analysis was carried out using a comparative method. The conclusion made in this article can be used to translate not only the works of S. King, but also the works of other writers. In further studies, it seems relevant to study other types of similes.
