Translation transformations in the adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s fairy tales into Russian: originality and creativity

This article is an in-depth analysis of the art of translation applied to the works of a famous English writer. The author of the article examines the linguistic and cultural aspects of fairy tale translation, identifying the features and challenges faced by translators. The article focuses on the preservation of wit, the adaptation of cultural elements, flexibility in the choice of vocabulary and a creative approach to translation. Special attention is paid to emphasizing the importance of originality and creativity in the translation process, and also finds practical application of the research results in the context of translator training and in the field of literary translation in general.
