The experiments were made using 23 dogs, which were subjected to leg lengthening by 1 mm per day for 4 times 5 days after performing closed flexion osteoclasia of leg bones at middle shaft level. The period of distraction was 28 days, the period of fixation – 30 days. Peripheral blood, osteogenesis as well as hemodynamics were assessed. Limb lengthening by transosseous osteosynthesis method was established to be accompanied by compensatory-and-adaptation changes from the side of the vascular system and hemopoietic organs which were reversible and demonstrated the normal course of the regeneration processes in bone tissue. The most marked changes were noted during the first week of distraction. Leg lengthening by the method of transosseous osteosynthesis stimulated hemopoesis. Sparing operative injury and optimally selected rate of distraction, which allow to preserve local and intraosseous blood supply and bone osteogenic elements maximally, contribute to the fastest and proper maturation of the regenerate bone.
