Algorithm-driven news personalization: how recommendation systems shape the news agenda

One of the key features of modern content consumption is the personalization of news. Thanks to artificial intelligence and modern algorithms, each user sees a certain feed and agenda according to his or her interests and preferences. The authors of this paper analyzed how algorithmic personalization of news occurs, how it affects the work of the media and how it affects the audience. A forecast of how this phenomenon will affect journalism of the future was made.
