Prospective effects of the application of unmanned aircraft systems technologies in various sectors of the economy using the example of the Kaliningrad region

Information, big data and technologies are currently of crucial importance for the development of industries and the economy of the country as a whole. The vastness of Russia's territory largely complicates the implementation of innovative projects everywhere, due to the radically differentiated regional specifics. The article is devoted to the assessment and adaptation of the positive experience of several federal subjects in the implementation of experiments on the introduction of unmanned aircraft systems (hereinafter UAS) in various types of economic activity, a calculation of the specific economic and environmental effect of the introduction of UAS in the region's agriculture is given, and the positive impact of using UAS on the overall potential of the industries of the Kaliningrad region in various areas is shown. An economic assessment of the profitability of investment in domestic UAS from an investment point of view is also given: the payback period, as well as other financial indicators.
