The article describes the experience of fellow of the All-Russian Research Institute of Irrigation Vegetable and Melon to create varieties of sweet pepper, distinguished by high yield, different shape and color of a fruit in the technical and biological maturity, the content of dry soluble substances, sugars, vitamin C and carotene. The authors conclude about the opportunities to create varieties to meet the diverse demands of the customers.
