Selection of early-flowering plants from Ji-J3 segregating generations was 128 done in conditions of Low Volga region. The self-pollinated lines No 1900, 1915, 2012, 2018 and 2257, differing by short vegetative period, good combining ability and other economic valuable traits were selected and are recommended for usage in the breeding program on raising sunflower hybrids. The experimental hybrid combinations received on the basis of these lines exceed the standard - a hybrid Triumph on 0.12-0.20 ton/ha in oil yield from hectare.
