Prospects and problems of antinomic conceptualization of historical reality metaphors

The paper is concerned with the problem of antinomic conceptualization of such metaphors used in the interpretation of historical reality as mechanism, organism, context and text. The author explains in great detail that the metaphors of mechanism and organism have been used as antinomies for the interpretation of history since the Enlightenment, but, due to the fact that context and text as scientific terms have no contradictions, their representation as antonymous metaphors in the interpretation of historical reality is problematic. The article attempts to jointly use tropological and logical analysis in order to determine the antinomic logical function of such metaphors of historical reality interpretation as mechanism and organism, and, based on this, identifies possible prospects for antinomic conceptualization of context and text metaphors. It is stressed that the method of antinomic conceptualization of metaphors can be promising not only for identifying the antinomic function of metaphors, but also for developing new approaches to the historical reality interpretation by combinatorics of antinomic concepts.
