Prospects and risks of adopting a digital code

Over a long period of time, discussions about the need to codify legislation in the field of information have been gaining momentum and then dying down. Now, when the volume of information and digital technologies is growing at progressive rates, there is again a need for a comprehensive discussion of the possibility of adopting a digital code. This article presents the opinions of scientists and practitioners on the issue under consideration, and analyzes existing problems. In the course of the study, the authors come to the conclusion that the adoption of a digital code has both prospects and risks. A clear answer to the question of the need to adopt a digital code will only be possible in the process of improving the current legislation in the field of information and digital technologies. The relevance of the study is directly related to digital citizenship and the legal culture of digital citizens.
